Mending the Soul
It's difficult to find material that so beautifully blends the research and best practices in psychology with sound biblical truths, but the writers of 'Mending the Soul' have done so in such an impacting way. This book helped me see the impacts of abuse through the lens of the Bible in a way I had never experienced. The book identifies what abuse is, how it affects people, and what steps to take to begin the healing process. I admire the writers because they've devoted their time, knowledge, and talents to helping the vulnerable and oppressed. I look forward to continue to learn from them through the books they write, the presentations they give, the conversations I have with them, and any work I do with them in Portland in the future.
